Your new role:
As the Psychologist – Team Leader (Advanced), you will provide professional and operational leadership to a team of psychologists delivering services across Logan & Beaudesert Health Service. Reporting to the Director of Psychology, you will combine advanced clinical practice with team leadership, clinical supervision and strategic service development.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact across psychology services while supporting the growth and development of your team and contributing to innovative, evidence-based models of care. In this role, you will:
- Provide advanced psychology services across a broad range of clinical areas with a high degree of independence
- Provide operational and professional leadership to a team of approximately 8.5 FTE psychologists
- Provide clinical advice, direction and practice supervision to psychologists, students and less experienced staff
- Lead recruitment, orientation, performance development and workforce planning activities
About you:
We are looking for an experienced psychologist who brings advanced clinical expertise, strong leadership capability and a genuine commitment to developing people and improving psychology services. To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Advanced knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary psychology practice relevant to the clinical services provided
- Demonstrated ability to provide operational, clinical and strategic leadership to a psychology team
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience providing clinical practice supervision, education and professional development to psychologists and students

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
