Your new role:
- Princess Alexandra Hospital is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Consultant Interventional Radiologist to join its established, high-quality Interventional Radiology (IR) service. The successful applicant will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive Interventional Radiology service, including the provision of elective and after-hours interventional radiology procedures at PAH as part of the Metro South Health service within Queensland Health.
- This opportunity is open to both experienced Interventional Radiology Consultants and suitably qualified candidates who have recently completed, or are due to complete, their Interventional Radiology specialist training. The position provides an opportunity to further develop clinical expertise within a supportive, collaborative and highly specialised service.
- The successful candidate will be expected to actively contribute to the education, supervision and professional development of junior medical staff, medical students and relevant non-medical staff, supporting a strong culture of teaching and continuous learning within the department.
About you:
- Contributing to the professional development of colleagues, the successful applicant will be expected to maintain and enhance their own professional knowledge, clinical skills and continuing professional development, ensuring that contemporary evidence, best-practice approaches and relevant advances in Interventional Radiology are incorporated into clinical practice.
- The Consultant will work collaboratively with the broader multidisciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care, while contributing to departmental quality improvement, clinical governance, education and service development initiatives as required

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
