We support the mental health and wellbeing of more than 250,000 people across Central Queensland, including Gladstone, the Capricorn Coast, Rockhampton, the Central Highlands and Banana.

With services across the region, we provide specialist mental health, alcohol and other drug care, from acute inpatient support to community-based services.

Rockhampton is our principal service centre, with additional facilities including an Adult Step-Up Step-Down service in Gladstone and a Community Care Unit in Rockhampton.

We're all about working together — partnering with hospitals, health services, community organisations and private providers to support recovery, improve wellbeing and help people move forward.

About the role:

  • Share knowledge and build confidence. Provide practical support, education and psychoeducation that helps consumers better understand and manage their mental health.
  • Connect, collaborate and have a voice. Work with multidisciplinary teams and community organisations, gather consumer and carer feedback, and represent the consumer voice on recruitment and selection panels.

About you:

  • Understand recovery, strengths-based practice and the power of sharing your own experience to support and inspire others.
  • A Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work is highly desirable, along with experience in public mental health or the NGO sector.
  • Can build positive relationships, work confidently with multidisciplinary teams, advocate for the consumer voice and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Plan and deliver engaging psychoeducation and groups, help identify service improvements, evaluate what works and use everyday tools like Microsoft Office with confidence.

What we offer:
