We're excited to welcome a Social Worker - Senior who provides high‑level, autonomous social work services across the Emergency Department, Medical Wards, Surgical/Orthopaedics and Acute and Restorative Care at Nambour General Hospital.

The role delivers advanced psychosocial assessments, evidence‑based therapeutic interventions, and complex discharge planning for patients experiencing acute illness, chronic and complex medical conditions, psychosocial crisis or age‑related health concerns. The three positions are permanent HP4 Social Worker - Senior positions.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Deliver independent high level Social Work clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
- Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
- Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced Social Work practitioners and students as delegated.
- Communicate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to influence the culture towards a common, patient-centred vision and direction.
Remuneration value up to $157,359 p.a., comprising salary between $128,169- $137,918 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $64.64 - $69.55 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Permanent full time, 76 hrs p.f. or part time positions available, hours negotiable.).
