The role

As Chief Operating Officer, you will work alongside the Health Service Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team to shape the future of healthcare across North West Queensland. From Mount Isa to some of Queensland's most remote communities, your leadership decisions will influence how care is delivered, how service evolve, and how health outcomes are improved for the people who rely on them every day.

Leading across a geographically diverse network spanning hospitals, community services and remote facilities, you will bring together strategy, operations and people leadership to ensure services are safe, sustainable and responsive to community needs.

This is a role for a leader who thrives complexity and can balance operational priorities with long-term transformation. Success will depend as much on people leadership as operational leadership.  You will inspire and align the workforce, strengthen leadership capability, build community confidence and foster partnerships needed to deliver exceptional healthcare across North West Queensland.

You will help shape an organisational culture that empowers people to perform at their best, embraces innovation and continuous improvement, and remain focused on delivering outstanding outcomes for patient, consumers and communities.

Remuneration and benefits may be negotiated with the successful applicant based on their skills, experience and demonstrated capabilities.
