We invite students from law, criminology, social sciences, or those keen on exploring the justice system,to join our team and gain first hand experience in our Brisbane Contact Centre to bridge academic learning with real-world application.  

Client Information Officers help callers identify their legal problems, explain their legal rights and responsibilities, and provide information about how to apply for a grant of legal aid.

You will also assess whether people need further legal help and organise for them to be booked in for legal advice with a lawyer.

All Client Information Officers complete an extensive initial training program and participate in ongoing training and development to enhance their customer service and communication skills and improve their knowledge of the law and our legal system.

Role specific conditions 

  • You will be required to work set shifts, rostered between 8.15 am and 4.45 pm weekdays according to client demand and operational requirements – up to a maximum of four shifts per week.
  • Successful candidates will be subject to a 6-month probationary period.

Key recruitment dates

  • Interviews will be conducted the week commencing 20 May 2024
  • Pre employment checks will be conducted the week commencing 27 May 2024  
  • New starters will commence induction on Monday, 17 June 2024
