The role of Senior Advisor, Service Quality and Operational Support contributes to community safety by supporting quality offender intervention practices and rehabilitation service delivery. This role will also provide effective governance oversight and support to Offender Rehabilitation and Management Services.

The Senior Advisor, Service Quality and Operational Support will:-

In collaboration with key stakeholders, research and analyse offender rehabilitation practices and maintain knowledge on research and evidence in this field.

Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of robust governance frameworks, systems, strategies and processes for rehabilitation service delivery.

Work with relevant business units to align and oversight the implementation of the QCS offender management framework as it relates to rehabilitation services.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures and guidelines for QCS rehabilitation services.

Provide advice to staff and stakeholders regarding QCS rehabilitation services, including practice and governance frameworks.

Collaborate with ORMS business units and other QCS areas to promote and support effective offender rehabilitation practices.

Design offender pre and post testing assessment training programs for staff, collate and maintain data and work with the QCS Research and Evaluation Group (REG) to evaluate program effectiveness for practice improvement.

Contribute to program management lifecycle planning and evaluation frameworks, including tracking of evaluation recommendations.

Represent the Offender Rehabilitation and Management Services (ORMS)

Directorate and the Agency at meetings and inter-agency committees as required.

Assist the management team to develop operational plans for the Branch.

Contribute to the development of rehabilitation services strategic plans.

Co-ordinate program site monitoring processes in collaboration with Offender Intervention Unit.

Monitor offender program and intervention activities to identify quality indicators, relevant trends and issues.

Contribute to the development of multi-modal staff training/communication materials relating to rehabilitation services and governance frameworks.

There are no mandatory qualifications for this position however a tertiary qualification in psychology, behavioural science or social sciences would be highly regarded.

While not mandatory, experience in program delivery will be highly regarded.

Travel may be a requirement for this position as this position may be required to work at different sites.
