Townsville Hospital and Health Service is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join the team within the Medical Service Group on a Permanent full-time or part-time basis, hours negotiable.

Eligible health workers who make the move (interstate or international) to work with us may receive up to $20,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (conditions apply).

About your opportunity

Permanent full-time or part-time, hours negotiable , multiple positions 

The Enrolled Nurse provides patient centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and in accordance with the Practice Standards as identified by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Medical Ward Five is a secure facility located on the ground floor of the ward block specifically designed to care for patients with delirium and dementia.

Generous remuneration package value up to $72,853 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary range of $35.92 to $38.12 p.h. (Nurse Grade 3)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements

  • Mandatory: Diploma of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
  • Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • Highly Desirable: Evidence of completion of modules related to medication administration and peripheral intravenous therapy.
  • Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
