Generous remuneration package value up to $94,810 p.a.comprising:

  • Salary rates between $2864.10 - $3185.10 p.f. (AO3)
  • Annual leave loading + leave
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • Other employment benefits may include: salary sacrificing options, locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs and access to corporate discounts

Role responsibilities 

  • Deliver exceptional person-centred customer service to patients, their families and the public, assisting and directing patients, visitors and colleagues in an effective and courteous manner.
  • Build good relationships with patients, their families and work colleagues by using strong communication and negotiation skills to understand customers' needs and deliver a service that meets their needs with adherence to policy and standards.
  • Access and utilise a wide variety of relevant patient and corporate information systems to accurately record all demographic and other mandatory patient information relative to work environment.
  • Maintain a high level of proficiency of relevant patient intake, admissions, bookings and discharge models to achieve effective and efficient patient flow by maintaining knowledge of and adhering to standardised health administration processes specific to the clinical working environment of the role.
  • Exercise judgement where necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have been set and procedures outlined.
  • Work as a member of a team and foster team spirit by building and maintaining cooperative relationships and adapt to changing demands to deliver effective customer services.
  • Provide support to AO2 staff where required.
  • Use initiative, workload management and prioritisation skills to achieve defined individual work targets and contribute to wider team goals in a changing environment.
  • Continually seek ways to improve service delivery and achieve organisational goals via development of professional skills and personal growth.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, review and maintenance of internal systems, processes and work practices.  Identify and report areas for improvement to existing processes.
  • Adhere to ethical decision making and comply with procedures, policies, regulations, standards and legislation relevant to the role and work area.
  • Carry out other delegated duties to support effective operations of the administration service as directed.
