About your opportunity

Assistant in Nursing – 2 x casual positions available

This role supports the registered staff in the delivery of daily cares, inclusive of assisting patients with their personal care needs such as showering, toileting, shaving, oral hygiene, dressing and eating. Assisting patients with their mobility and communication needs. Following therapy plans such as interventions to assist those with dementia and behavioural problems.

Generous casual rates of $40.83 - $44.71 (Nurse Grade 1 Band 1) :

  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

What we are looking for?:

  • Ability to assist clients with activities of daily living and other tasks as delegated by the registered nurse/midwife.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to use or learn to use information systems appropriate to the position.
  • Willingness to undertake education as required by the role.

Requirements

  • Highly Desirable: Applicants who meet one of the following criteria are considered highly desirable:
    • Hold a relevant Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Service Assistant or equivalent, or
    • Successful completion of the first semester full-time equivalent Diploma of Nursing course including all theoretical and clinical competencies, or
    • Successful completion of the first year full-time equivalent undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing course including all theoretical and clinical competencies.
  • Proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
