Townsville Hospital and Health Service is currently seeking Clinical Nurses to join Surgical Ward 2.

There are permanent full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Surgical 2 has a focus on safety and quality, embracing innovation and new ideas to ensure our patients have the best possible outcomes. The unit provides care to a wide variety of patients undergoing elective and emergency surgical procedures, often with high acuity and high nursing requirements, making it a challenging yet extremely rewarding unit to work on.

About your opportunity:

Permanent full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Generous remuneration package value up to $132,289 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary range of $4138.10 to $4413.10 p.f. or $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1)
  • Annual leave with relevant leave loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
  • Other employment benefits may include: professional development, salary sacrificing options, shift and locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs, and access to corporate discounts.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.
  • Highly Desirable: Tertiary qualifications relevant to the position would be well regarded.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
