About your opportunity:

Fixed term temporary full-time position, Commencing ASAP to 28/01/2025,
Location: Townsville

This position is a multi-disciplinary position. Applications are being sought from Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Social Workers.

The Team Leader, will provide clinical expertise, supervision and direction whilst managing the operational delivery of clinical services for the Community Forensic Mental Health Services within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service, across North Queensland communities. Operate as the single point of accountability for the team and report to the Program Manager and Clinical Director.

The ideal applicant will be someone with proven ability and can demonstrate the following:

Generous remuneration package value up to $13,965 p.m. (HP5/NG7) comprising:

  • Salary range of $5081.10 to $5630.00 p.f. (HP5/NG7)
  • Annual leave with with relevant loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements:

  • Proof of qualification (Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology and Social Work) and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
  • Blue Card Checks
  • Highly Desirable:
    • Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
    • Credentialed status (or willingness to undertake and complete the requirements) with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
    • Possession of or working towards a relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in mental health nursing.
    • While not mandatory, eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2016.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • Possession of class C drivers' licence.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
