The Office of the Assistant Director General, Services and Infrastructure Planning branch, Infrastructure Services Division, is on the lookout for a Manager to join our newly created Focused Initiatives Team (FIT).
We are hiring for a 12-month period,
dedicated to delivering high-profile and complex projects for the Department of Education. Ideal candidates will have proven leadership and management skills and showcase a forward-thinking, constructive attitude towards the development and execution
of complex projects. Experience in project planning, effective collaboration, and maintaining strong governance including driving project through Cabinet processes are essential qualities we are seeking.

About the Team
The Focused Initiatives Team (FIT) is a newly created team within Infrastructure Services Division with the goal of driving high profile and complex projects for the Department of Education. This team will utilise their networks and relationships working collaboratively across the Department to implement approved plans, identifying and managing risks.
We are currently recruiting for this Manager role plus their Director and 2 x AO7 Principal Project Officers. What a great opportunity to support a collaborative team culture contributing to significant infrastructure initiatives enhancing education in Queensland!
About the Role
The ideal applicant will have the following key attributes:
- Proven high level consultative, communication, written, interpersonal and negotiation skills appropriate to an environment of reform, change and evolution.
- Knowledge of and the ability to apply appropriate project management methodologies, policy, standards and frameworks relevant to activities and services to ensure effective delivery of outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to research, review and analyse information, identify issues and problem solve to assist decision-making with the ability to present findings for Senior Executive audience, to ensure effective outcomes.
- Evidence of ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with colleagues, and stakeholders including communicating clearly, and participating in a team approach to deliver project outcomes.
This role requires a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
