Temporary full-time role available (six months with possible extension)
Working with us
- Competitive remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value up to $671,316 p.a. (Paid pro-rata for engagement period or part time employee).
- Base salary ranges between $8,062.00 and $10,221.70 p.f. (L18-L27).
- Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accrual.
- 5 weeks annual recreational leave accumulation with 17.5% loading when taken.
- Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.
- Attraction and retention incentive allowance of 40-50% base annual salary.

About the role
The successful candidate will be an experienced Physician in General Medicine or a Rural Generalist / Senior Medical Officer with advanced specialised training/additional rural skills training in Adult Internal Medicine, who is able to bring professional qualities to the role which includes being an effective communicator and multidisciplinary team player, bringing with them the attributes of clinical expertise, academic abilities, and professional qualities.
Requirements
- Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
- Hold current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Senior Medical Officer (SMO) / Rural Generalist (RG) - Adult Internal Medicine: Fellow of The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP-RG) with advanced credentialed practice (Advanced Specialised Training/AST or Additional Rural Skills Training/ARST) in Adult Internal Medicine.
- Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist (General Medicine): Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in General Medicine. A dual Fellowship in a relevant specialty will be highly regarded.
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
