About the opportunity:

Position: Occupational Therapist – Senior Rehabilitation (Accelerated Recovery Team)

Vacancy: Permanent full-time 

Location: Occupational Therapy, Allied Health Service Division

This role is the perfect opportunity for a motivated rehabilitation clinician looking for a new challenge or progression in their career. The opportunity is based in the recently established Accelerated Recovery Team, a multidisciplinary team responsible for commencing early rehabilitation within the acute wards of the Townsville University Hospital.

Your contributions will be valued and impactful.

Enjoy a generous remuneration package valued up to $157,360 p.a., including:

  • Salary range: $128,169 to $137,918 p.a. (HP4)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

  • The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Occupational Therapy, and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
  • This position is required to work on weekends and public holidays on a rostered basis through the Department's Weekend Service.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
