About the opportunity:
Position: Health Security Officer
Vacancy: Permanent full-time and Casual positions available
Location: Townsville University Hospital
The Health Security Department provides a broad range of services and support functions to ensure the safety, security and wellbeing of all staff, patients, visitors, and contractors of the THHS. Health Security Officers provide a 24/7 security service to Townsville University Hospital campus and additional services at the Kirwan Community Health campus and the Joyce Palmer Health Service located on Palm Island.
Your contributions will be valued and impactful.
Generous remuneration package value up to $80,680 p.a. comprising:
- Salary range of $2585.80 to $2710.40 p.f. (OO3) or
- Casual rates of $42.52 to $44.57 p.h. (OO3)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:
- Whilst not mandatory, possession of a Certificate III in Security Operations or equivelant or higher would be well regarded.
- Whilst not mandatory a current security licence would be well regarded.
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance.
