About the opportunity:

Position: Clinical Nurse

Vacancy: Permanent part-time, 32 hours per fortnight

Location: Renal Satellite Unit, Charters Towers

Townsville Renal Services has an exciting opportunity for a clinical nurse to join the team, the successful candidate will be someone who can work autonomously and has excellent communication and leadership skills along with the ability to make clinical decisions. The Charters Towers dialysis unit is a four-chair satellite unit which offers a three-day Monday/Wednesday/Friday service providing high quality care to patients located in this region.

  • Salary range: $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
  • Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
  • Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
  • On call: Appointees may be required to participate in an on-call roster.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
