About the opportunity:

Position: Clinical Director Neonatology

Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary full-time, 3 years

Location: Neonatology Unit, Women's and Children's Service Group, Townsville University Hospital.

To provide leadership, strategically plan and manage the continuum of care and high quality services for patients requiring the services of the Department of Neonatology.

This includes leading the tertiary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for Northern Queensland and Special Care Nursery. Leadership and oversight of ‘ANTS-NQ' – the neonatal retrieval service for northern Queensland which works in conjunction with Retrievals Services Queensland.

  • Salary range: $8062.00 to $10,221.70 p.f. (L18 - L27)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Professional development allowance of $21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks p.a. leave
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

  • Qualified as a medical practitioner, qualifications in speciality areas and current registration and / or eligible for registration as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia. Must have accreditation with RACP and a neonatal intensivist.
  • Must possess at least a class C motor vehicle license.
  • Must have completed the Helicopter Underwater Emergency Training (HUET) and be available to complete aeromedical missions as part of the retrieval service.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
