About the opportunity:

Position Title: Clinical Records Officer

Vacancy: Permanent Full-time / 76 Hours per fortnight

Location: Clinical Information Services / Digital Health and Knowledge / Townsville University Hospital

The Clinical Records Officer will provide clinical recordkeeping support, leadership and advice to the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS) by facilitating the effective and efficient operational management of clinical records in accordance with relevant legislation, standards, policies and procedures.

  • Salary range: $3481.60 to $3835.70 p.f. (AO4)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (if applicable)

  • Highly regarded: Demonstrated experience and knowledge of current clinical information/record management systems and processes.
  • Highly regarded: Demonstrated knowledge of retention and disposal schedules, archiving processes and relevant policies, standards and legislation.
  • Highly regarded: Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must hold a current C class Drivers License as may be required to travel to Townsville HHS rural hospitals to provide advice and support.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
