The North Queensland Kidney Transplant Service is currently seeking to recruit Senior Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers to join their service on a permanent full-time basis. There are two positions available.
This is an identified position – Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.

About the opportunity:
Position: NQKTS Senior Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker – (Identified)
Vacancy: Permanent full-time, 2 x positions available
Location: North Queensland Kidney Transplant Service
The purpose of this position is to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients accessing kidney transplant services receive effective, coordinated and culturally capable health care.

- Salary range: $3777.60 to $4453.50 p.f. (HWF4)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:
- Mandatory qualifications (Diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care) and proof of registration (if applicable)
- Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance.
