Townsville Hospital and Health Service, is the public healthcare provider for the government areas of Townsville, Burdekin, Charters Towers, Flinders, Richmond, Hinchinbrook and Palm Island. We operate 21 facilities from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.

The Manager HR Service Centre will play a crucial leadership role in redefining and advancing the HR service Centre within Townsville Hospital and Health Services (THHS), within the People & Culture Group.

About the Role:

This pivotal role will drive the evolution of our HR Service Delivery Model, fostering a collaborative approach across the People & Culture team. The Manager HR Service Centre will lead and support the team through change, enhancing the value-add potential of the HR Service Centre to our clients who may be uncertain of its benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HR Service Centre team, providing exemplary leadership and mentoring.
  • Foster a collaborative approach across the People & Culture team.
  • Drive the evolution of our HR Service Delivery Model.
  • Enhance the value-add potential of the HR Service Centre to our clients.
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional HR services.
  • Shape a positive culture within the HR Service Centre.
  • Drive the People & Culture functions towards excellence.

Enjoy a generous remuneration package valued up to $166,569 p.a., including:

  • Salary range: $5412.20 to $5595.80 p.a. (AO7)
  • 4 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

  • While not mandatory, a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or relevant field with substantial experience in the health sector will be well regarded.
  • Highly developed leadership, coaching, and management capabilities, including the ability to develop a high-performing team. 
  • High level of proven oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with particular emphasis on consulting, liaising, and negotiating with a wide range of clients and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience or aligned experience in creating and evolving a contemporary HR Service Centre.
