An opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health Clinician to join their team on a fixed term temporary full-time basis, or 12 months, with the possibility of extension, not exceeding 12 months.

About the opportunity:

Position: Mental Health Clinician (Occupational Therapist or Psychologist or Social Worker or Nurse)

Vacancy: Fixed term temporary full-time, 12 months with the possibility of extension, not exceeding 12 months

Location: Charters Towers

About the role:

As part of the Charters Towers Community Mental Health Services multi-disciplinary team, this role provides clinical assessment and treatment services to people presenting with complex and severe mental health problems including alcohol and or drug problems. The opportunity provides exposure to case management and intake assessment of consumers across the lifespan, as well as delivery of a consultation service into the emergency departments and hospitals of the area.

All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the service.

Enjoy a generous remuneration package value up to $132,567 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary range: $3030.00 to $4453.50 p.f. (HP3/NG6-1)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

  • Mandatory qualifications (Occupational Therapy or Psychology or Social Work or Nursing) and proof of applicable registration/membership.
  • Possession of class C drivers' licence.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance and Blue Card Checks.
