About the opportunity:
Position: Pharmacy Assistant
Vacancy: Temporary Full-time ASAP until 31/08/2025 with the possibility of an extension up to 12 months
Location: Pharmacy Department / Medical Service Group / Townsville University Hospital

- Salary range: $2624.50 to $2759.10 p.f. (CA3)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
- Highly Desirable Pharmacy Assistant Certificate Level III in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support OR Certificate Level III Community Pharmacy from an approved training organisation based on nationally accredited competencies, or equivalent.
- Successful completion of HLTPHA001 – Maintain pharmaceutical imprest/ward stock from an approved training organisation based on nationally accredited competencies, or equivalent.
- This position may involve the manufacture of aseptic and/or chemotherapeutic pharmaceuticals.
- This position may include a roster for seven (7)-day extended hours service at The Townsville University Hospital as part of a team of pharmacy staff.
- The successful applicant must be at least 16 years of age on the date of appointment (as per the Medicines and Poisons (Medicines) Regulation 2021).
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
