The Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking enthusiastic and client focused Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our high skilled and supportive Medical Imaging Department.

PLEASE NOTE - There are both permanent and temporary part-time positions, with hours being negotiable. The temporary part-time position is for 12 months.

Nuclear Medicine Technologists deliver base level nuclear medicine services including education as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health.

About the opportunity:

Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologists

Vacancy: Permanent part-time and Temporary part-time, up to 12 months.  
Please note hours are negotiable, but the maximum hours for the permanent part-time role is 39.52 hours and the temporary part-time 51.68 hours.

Location: Medical Imaging Department, Townsville University Hospital

For graduate and newly qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologists to deliver base level nuclear medicine services including education as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health.  Provide education to staff, patients, and the public regarding the clinical and safety considerations specific to Nuclear Medicine services and provide a patient focus to the performance of duties.

  • Salary range: $39.68 - $58.59 p.h. (HP3)
  • 4 weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5% loading
  • Professional Development allowance and leave

  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

  • The successful applicant must possess:
    • Tertiary qualification applicable to Nuclear Medicine
    • Current Registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.
    • Radiation Use Licence issued by Queensland Health - Radiation Health.
  • Desirable – evidence of professional development activities.
  • Work Roster – the successful candidates will be required to participate in shift work as well as work on public holidays and availability for on-call. The position may have roster allocation to any facility in the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
  • This is a VPD risk role.  The successful applicant will need to meet the relevant mandatory requirements.
