Townsville Hospital and Health Service, is the public healthcare provider for the government areas of Townsville, Burdekin, Charters Towers, Flinders, Richmond, Hinchinbrook and Palm Island. We operate 21 facilities from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.
Townsville Prison Mental Health Services, provide voluntary assessment, treatment and continuity of care for persons in Correctional Centers who have or may have a mental illness, including diversion of mentally ill offenders from the criminal justice system as required.
The service is seeking a Senior Psychologist to join their team on a permanent full-time basis. This position is loctaed in Townsville.

About the role:
The Psychologist – Senior (Prison Mental Health Services) provides high level clinical services and leadership within the multidisciplinary Prison Mental Health Service (PMHS) team. The role is responsible for forensic mental health care through timely and responsive service provision required to meet the objectives of the PMHS.

- Salary range: $4912.70 to $5286.40 p.f. (HP4)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:
- Mandatory qualifications (Psychology) and proof of registration/membership (if applicable).
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance.
