The Clinical Information Services located at Townsville University Hospital are seeking an enthusiastic Medical Records Administrator - Shift, to join their friendly and supportive team.

PLEASE NOTE - This is a permanent full-time vacancy, working a variety of shift hours.

The Medical Records Administrator - Shift provides administrative systems support in relation to confidential clinical records/information (digital and paper) within a hospital setting.

This role contributes to patient flow by ensuring clinical records and information are available for clinicians to provide timely patient care.

About the opportunity:

Position: Medical Records Administrator - Shift

Vacancy: Pemanent full-time

Location: Clinical Information Services, Townsville

The Medical Records Administrator - Shift delivers exceptional person-centred customer service to patients, their families and the public.  This position works collaboratively as a member of the administrative team and provides quality support to deliver a high standard of organisational and patient-focused outcomes.

This role contributes to creating an exceptional place to work by consistently aligning workplace behaviours and organisational values.

PLEASE NOTE - The successful applicant will be required to work a roster which includes weekdays, weekends and public holidays (when rostered to do so) with varying hours.  Hours are listed below -

  • 0600 - 1430
  • 0730 - 1600
  • 0830 - 1700
  • 1430 - 2300

  • Salary range: $2950.00 to $3280.70 p.f. (AO3)
  • 5 weeks annual leave  with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

  • Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD): Health Care Workers in Queensland Health whose occupation poses a potential risk of exposure to blood or body fluids are required to provide evidence of vaccinations or proof that they are not susceptible (due to prior exposure to the disease and therefore have natural immunity) to the following VPD's Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis containing vaccine) according to the Queensland Health Policy.
