The Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking an experienced and client focused Clinical Nurse Consultant (Rheumatic Health Disease Coordinator) to join our highly skilled Cardiac Services team.
PLEASE NOTE - This is a permanent full-time position.
The Townsville Hospital and Health Service Rheumatic Health Disease Service delivers a culturally safe and clinically effective service to improve the prevention, diagnosis and early detection, treatment, and management of all rural and remote clients within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service and the North West Hospital and Health Service.

About the opportunity:
Position: Clinical Nurse Consultant (Rheumatic Heart Disease Coordinator)
Vacancy: Permanent full-time
Location: Cardiac Services, Townsville University Hospital
The strategic, high-level objectives of the service are to contribute to achieving equity in health status and life expectancy between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by the year 2031, and to reduce mortality and morbidity from cardiac conditions for all rural and remote cardiac clients.

- Salary range: $5081.10 to $5516.60 p.f. (NG7)
- 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading

Requirements:
- Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
- The applicant ideally will have a working knowledge of a range of software packages used in the clinical and management environment, including the Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Power Point.
- Travel: Please note, from time-to-time this position will be required to travel to, and work at, other facilities located within the Rural Hospitals Service Group network to participate in meetings for planning, quality, performance, training and education, or clinical activities. This may involve day and/or overnight stays. Travel on small planes or ferry may be required. The successful applicant/s will need to be able to commit to this requirement.
- Accommodation: On-site single staff accommodation will be provided for the successful applicant, when working in a Rural Hospitals location.
