About the opportunity:
Position: Director of Physician Education
Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary part time up to 3 years (01/07/2025 to 01/07/2028), no possibility of an extension / 12 Hours per fortnight
Location: Internal Medicine Unit / Medical Service Group / Townsville University Hospital
The Director of Physician Education (DPE) is appointed by the College to ensure that training within the Townsville Hospital (TTH) occurs satisfactorily. Success at the RACP Examination and transition to advanced training by each trainee is the ultimate goal.

- Salary range: $100.78 to $127.77 p.h. (L18-L27)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
- Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), with a minimum two years post Fellowship experience, and experience as an examiner, will be mandatory.
- Experience in teaching /mentoring of trainees will be considered favourably.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
