About the opportunity:

Position: Dietician

Vacancy: Temporary Full-time 23/06/2025 to 11/01/2026 (with the possibility of an extension up to 2 years)

Location: Townsville Community Allied Health / Allied Health Service Division / Kirwan Health Campus / Townsville

Deliver clinical dietetic and nutrition services, support and education as a member of the community based multidisciplinary allied health team, for adults/older persons within the Townsville University Hospital catchment.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

• • The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics and hold the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) credential.
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association. 
  • Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted including a Criminal History Check.
