About the opportunity:

Position: Therapy Assistant

Vacancy: Permanent Full-time

Location: Townsville Community Allied Health Service / Allied Health Service Division / Kirwan Health Campus / Townsville

Assist allied health professionals (AHP) to provide client care and enhance service provision. The role works collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, as well as across facilities and community locations, with a focus on complex health conditions, hospital avoidance, post-acute and rehabilitation focused interventions, and reablement/restorative care programs.

  • Salary range: $2624.50 to $2759.10 p.f. (CA 3)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:

  • Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
  • Highly Desirable: Completion of Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or a preparedness to undertake this training) will be looked upon favourably.
  • Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
