- Salary range: $38.81 to $43.16 p.h. (AO3)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity
The purpose of this position is to assist consumers, carers and families, service providers and Non-Government Organisations to develop a better understanding of the recovery framework and also to promote consumer and carer participation within inpatient units and community care units.
Requirements:
- Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
- Lived Experience: The position requires the incumbent to identify as having a personal “lived experience” of mental illness and recovery and be prepared to utilise their experience to assist others where appropriate and to be a role model for consumers and wider community to overcome stigma and encourage personal development.
- Certificate IV in Peer Work or the ability to undertake a certificate IV in Peer Work.
- Highly desirable: Experience working within a public mental health service or the NGO sector as a Mental Health Peer Worker.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
