- Salary range: $66.85 to $72.58 per hour (Nurse Grade 7)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

About your opportunity
The Oncology Clinical Trials Unit is an integral service within the Townsville Cancer Centre. The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Oncology Clinical Trials is responsible for speciality (either Medical and Radiation Oncology or Haematology and Cellular Therapies) aligned pipeline development and trial startup (0.5 FTE). They will provide oversite of staff clinical trials competencies, unit orientation/promotion, education programs, engagement activities, clinical trials audits (0.5 FTE). The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Oncology Clinical Trials will also oversee quality improvement activities include accreditation, development and maintenance of service procedures, work instruction and other instructional documents relevant to the Clinical Trials Oncology service.
Requirements:
- Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
- Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- Highly desirable: Current clinical oncology relevant competences, including Chemotherapy.
- Highly desirable: Prior experience as a Clinical Nurse Consultant or Clinical Educator.
- Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
