Charters Towers Health Service is a 25-bed facility providing integrated acute and primary health care services through a range of programs including: community, child, youth and family, mental health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and outreach services. - Salary range: $2941.70 to $4459.00 p.f. (HP3)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity
The role of the Mental Health Clinician within Charters Towers Rehabilitation Unit is to assist in the coordination of care within a collaborative multidisciplinary recovery framework; provide support to consumers with complex issues consistent with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the mental health service, to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care.
Requirements:
- For Social Work the successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Social Work as well as eligibility for full membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- While not mandatory, status as an AASW accredited Mental Health Social Worker is highly regarded.
- For Occupational Therapy the successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Occupational Therapy.
- For Psychology the successful applicant must possess a four-year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution.
- This position will require the successful candidate to participate in an extended hours roster to satisfy operational need.
- Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class “C” motor vehicle.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
