About the opportunity
To join our team of enthusiastic doctors and nurses in providing high quality clinical care to patients at the Townsville University Hospital Gastroenterology outpatient service and to improve integration between primary health care and the hospital.
This role may also be requested to provide input into the planning, development, and quality improvement of planned care outpatient gastroenterology services at the local level to ensure care is received in the right place and at the right time.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $91.84 to $127.77 p.h. (L13-L27)
- 4 weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5% loading
- Professional Development leave and allowance
- Private Practice allowance
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
- Qualified as a medical practitioner and current registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Fellowship of either the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACCRM) or Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
- Qualified with Advanced Specialist Skills.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
