Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $8062.00 to $10,221.70 p.f. (L18-L27)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
  • Attraction and retention incentive allowance (50% base salary)
  • Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,500 p.a.
  • Professional development allowance of $21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks p.a. leave

About your opportunity

  • To provide a clinical service in the discipline and liaise with other Hospital Departments as required ensuring the co-ordination and efficiency and costing effectiveness of Hospital services.
  • To encourage and participate in research projects to further the knowledge of the discipline.
  • To perform the general administration duties of the Department and to participate in performance appraisals of staff and the Departmental performance.
  • Provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisation goals.

Requirements:

  • Must have Registration as a Specialist Medical Practitioner in Australia and Fellowship with The Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
  • Travel: This position may require the incumbent to work at other facilities within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
