About the opportunity
Provide administrative support to the unit and staff involved in the Emergency Medicine Education and Training Program (EMET) under the direction of the Administrative – Team Leader, liaising with other administrative, medical, and nursing staff to achieve effective and efficient service. The position is accountable for promoting good public relations with the general community and both internal and external customers of the hospital.
The EMET is an initiative by the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine to assist rural and remote medical practitioners in the delivering improved emergent care to their patients. EMET seeks to deliver education to these rural practitioners and assist them in undertaking a certificate or diploma in Emergency Medicine.
The Program Support Officer for EMET will assist candidates and their supervisors enrolled in ACEM 's Emergency Certificate and Diploma Program and IMGs participating in ACEM's educational activities. The Program Support Officer will support and assist the co-ordination of educational activities as indicated by the AustralasianCollege of Emergency Medicine rural support program and the roll out of the EMET activities to all hospitals participating in the project. The Program Support Officer will assist in the co-ordination and collation of research related to emergency activity.

- Salary range: $38.81 to $43.16 p.h. (AO3)
- 4 weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
- This is a VPD Risk role - Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis containing vaccine) according to the Queensland Health Policy.
