  • Salary range: $66.85 to $72.58 p.h. (Nurse Grade 7)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

Clinical Nurse Consultants (Lung Cancer) demonstrate expert clinical knowledge and advanced clinical problem-solving skills and are accountable for their own clinical practice. The purpose of this position is to work as part of the multidisciplinary team in providing support and education to individuals and carers from the time of diagnosis of lung cancer throughout their treatment journey for North Queensland residents.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
  • Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • Highly Desirable: Recent experience in caring for patients in a Cancer Care setting specifically Lung Cancer patients.
  • Desirable: Experience in Cancer Care Coordination.
  • Highly regarded: The ability to provide expert nursing leadership and coordination within an Oncology/Lung Cancer Care environment.
  • Highly regarded: Sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
