- Salary range: $3030.00 to $4453.50 p.f. (HP3/Nurse Grade 6, Band)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity
The Rural and Remote Mental Health Program provides mental health and alcohol and drugs services to rural and remote communities within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service area. These services are coordinated through four community mental health teams located in Palm Island, Ingham, Burdekin and Charters Towers. This employment opportunity is located in the Burdekin Mental Health Service based at the Ayr Hospital.
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
- For nursing: Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- For Psychology the successful candidate must possess a four-year degree in Psychology from an accredited tertiary institution, for Occupational Therapy and Social Work the successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Occupational Therapy or Social Work.
- Ongoing professional development relevant to the delivery of specialist Mental Health Services (MHSG) to maintain appropriate registration and/or association requirements is a requirement of all staff within the MHSG.
- All employees of the Mental Health Service Group (MHSG) may be required to work in other areas of the Service.
- Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class “C” motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
