  • Salary range: $2818.50 to $3082.60 p.f. (OO4)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

The Health Security Department is responsible to support the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS) facilitation of safe, effective and sustainable healthcare services.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • Experience within a healthcare environment will be highly regarded.
  • Possession of a Certificate IV Training and Assessment is highly desirable.
  • Technical proficiency in security alarm monitoring systems and control room operations are highly desirable.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
  • The successful candidate will be required to participate in a continuous shift (24 hour) roster, 7 days a week. There will be a requirement to work weekends and public holidays.
  • The successful candidate must adhere to a strict uniform and appearance policy.
  • The successful candidate must possess a high level of self-control, emotional stability and be prepared to encounter potentially traumatic incidents (e.g. viewing deceased patients, physically handling a frail elderly).
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
