  • Salary range: $87.25 to $127.77 p.h. (L13-L27)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

This exciting opportunity to join the THHS Medical Education Unit (MEU). The MEU serves as a central hub for advancing excellence in medical education across the institution. It leads and supports the implementation of curricula, ensures continuous improvement in teaching and assessment practices, and upholds national standards, including those of the Australian Medical Council (AMC) National Framework for Prevocational (PGY1 and PGY2) Medical Training.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • The successful applicant must be registered as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in medical education will be highly regarded.
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
  • Highly regarded: Well-developed communication skills and experience in liaising with clinical staff, doctors in training and service partners to support education and professional development, including negotiation and conflict management.
  • Highly regarded: Experience in or commitment to medical education and training programs with demonstrated understanding of adult education principles, research and use of best practice in medical education.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
