- Salary range: $75.27 to $78.59 p.h. (Nurse Grade 8)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity
This is an advanced and extended level of Nursing Practice at The Townsville Hospital. This will include services generally not included in a Registered Nurses' role i.e. prescribing medications, specialist referrals, pathology and medical imaging.
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
- Qualification: Master of Nursing Science (Nurse Practitioner) or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate as a Nurse Practitioner. A Nurse Practitioner will be required to complete THHS credentialing upon commencement of their role and every 3 years.
- Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable.
- Declaration of Serious Discipline Action: Under section 71 of the Public Sector Act 2022 (PSA) an applicant for a role can be required to disclose any previous serious discipline actions taken against them.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including Criminal History checks.
