  • Salary range: $8062.00 to $10221.70 p.f. (L18-L27)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

The role of the Director of Maxillofacial Surgery is to provide high quality clinical and non-clinical services to benefit the patients / clients of the THHS. This includes research as well as teaching the health professionals of the future. Please note, a permanent substantive position as a Staff Specialist may be negotiable for the successful candidate.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
  • All applicants must be awarded SoCP by the THHS Credentialing and SoCP committee. All appointments are subject to maintenance of SoCP within the CSCF for the facilities in which clinical work is to be undertaken.
  • MBBS or equivalent, registrable with AHPRA.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and FRACDS (OMS) - Registration with AHPRA and Dental Board of Australia as a Specialist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon or working towards this qualification and able to be credentialled as a SMO.
  • This requires proof of qualification and where applicable, registration or membership with the Medical Board of Australia and Dental Board of Australia.
  • Participation in on-call.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
