  • Salary range: $4912.70 to $5286.40 p.f. or $64.64 to $69.55 p.h. (HP4)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

A Senior Mental Health Clinician role is available for the new Crisis Support Space with the purpose of this role being to provide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the specialty of mental health. The Senior Mental Health Clinician will support peer workers, overview, and manage risks within the CSS, and will work closely with emergency department within the hospital to support navigation to and from the CSS.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • For Social Work the successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Social Work as well as eligibility for full membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • For Occupational Therapy the successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Occupational Therapy.
  • For Psychology the successful applicant must possess a four-year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution.
  • Appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be highly desirable.
  • All employees of the Mental Health Service Group (MHSG) may be required to work in other areas of the Service.
  • Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class “C” motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required.
