About the opportunity
The role of the Clinical Nurse in Special Care Nursery is to provide clinical expertise utilising clinical skills, education and support to babies/ families and nursing staff within the Neonatal Unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care in a family centred environment.
Working collaboratively with the only tertiary neonatal intensive care unit outside of south-east Queensland, the Neonatal Unit works in partnership with the community and other health services to keep families close to home wherever possible.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $4138.10-$4431.10 p.f. and $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (NG6-1)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
- Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
- Completion of Neonatal Specific Competencies is mandatory for nursing staff working within the Neonatal Unit.
- Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
