About the opportunity 

The position of Cardiac Perfusionist - Senior will deliver specialised advanced level extracorporeal support and autotransfusion services to achieve the highest possible clinical standards of care for patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass. The successful applicant will have been trained in all aspects of perfusion to attain these ideals.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $4912.70 to $5286.40 p.f. (HP4)
  • 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • Professional Development leave and allowance
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

  • The successful applicant must hold an appropriate tertiary Science degree (or equivalent) and hold a current post graduate certificate in Cardiovascular Perfusion via the Australasian Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) or equivalent and be eligible for membership with The Australia and New Zealand College of Perfusion (ANZCP).
  • Overseas Trained Perfusionist (OTP) must be eligible for OTP recognition with the Australian and New Zealand Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ANZBP). The criteria are available here: https://anzcp.org/otp-application-portal/. Written confirmation of phase 1 (eligibility) approval from the ABCP is required.
  • Evidence of post graduate research work leading to a higher degree in Science would be favourably considered.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
