About the opportunity
The Nurse Unit Manager will facilitate and provide nursing leadership, support, clinical supervision and mentoring within the nursing team and provide nursing resource, education and research accountabilities and strategic management to facilitate the delivery of high quality, best practice care to clients of Demand Response Unit.
About the opportunity
Demand Response Unit is one of seven medical wards that fall within the Medical Services Group. It is a 12-bed acute ward for short length of stay patients. Demand Response Unit is a Nurse Led ward providing transitional beds for medical and surgical patients waiting for an inpatient bed or for inpatients waiting for discharge. The unit contains four single rooms (shared ensuite) and two bays of four beds.
The unit operates on twelve hour days (07:00-19:30), seven days a week.

Competitive salary and benefits:

- Salary range: $5081.10 to $5516.60 p.f. (NG7)
- 5 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading

- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
- Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
- This is a VPD risk role.
