Industry Liaison Officer - Moura State High School

A permanent Industry Liaison Officer position is available at Moura State High School for 29 hours and 0.40 FTE per fortnight, to start mid term 4, 2024.
This role is in conjunction with the Youth Support Coordinator position of 14.5hrs per week and Administration
position of 7.25hrs per week.

About Moura State High School
Moura State High School is a small high school catering for about 170 students across years 7 - 12.
The 2016 School Review Executive Summary indicates that the school is driving a ‘sharp, narrow and focused' explicit improvement agenda, focused on Pedagogy & Reading, Student Wellbeing and Curriculum. Moura High is proud of its strong and positive relationship with the local community.
Moura State High School has four feeder schools: Moura State School, Banana State School, Bauhinia State School and Theodore State School. A Special Needs unit is also attached to the high school, catering to a small group of students.
About the Role
As the Industry Liaison Officer your will include (but not restricted to):
- Assist in the ongoing delivery of the School Based Apprenticeships/Traineeship program and assist in managing business and industry partnerships to maximise opportunities for secondary students.
- Establish and maintain effective networks and work collaboratively with business and industry groups to build strong and vibrant links that promote School Based Apprenticeships/Traineeships as a career pathway for students.
- Source vocational training opportunities for prospective students by actively seeking opportunities for student placement in transition to work programs
- Provide regular updates of the program outcomes and help identify issues that may impact on the success of the program.
- Coordinate the Work Experience program for students from Years 10 to 12.
- The Industry Liaison Officer reports to the Principal or nominated delegate.
