These positions are up to 2 years, with the possibility of an additional 12 months extension.

About the opportunity
The incumbent will contribute towards the research efforts in vascular disease, orthopaedic research and diabetic foot disease in a research team lead by a nominated Principal Investigator, and to develop research expertise through the pursuit of defined projects relevant to a specific defined Townsville Hospital and Health Service Service Group.
The key objectives of the Clinical Research Coordinator position are to gather high quality clinical research data and maintain optimum health care to research participants at the standard of practice, in accordance with the National Health Medical and Research Council (NHMRC), Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (GCP) and the International Committee of Harmonisation (ICH).

- Salary range: $3030.00 to $4453.50 p.f. or $39.86 - $58.59 p.h. (HP3)
- 4 weeks annual leave (pro rata for part-time) with 17.5% loading

- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
- The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in an Allied Health (Health Practitioner) discipline recognised by Queensland Health; and as applicable
- be registered/provisionally registered with the relevant national registration board, or
- be accredited with the relevant professional association, or
- be eligible for membership with the relevant professional association
- While not mandatory, relevant tertiary qualification in an appropriate research discipline and demonstrated relevant equivalent experience (clinical, health, research, financial, legal and/or ethics knowledge), would be well regarded.
- While not mandatory, at least one-year, full time equivalent, post registration experience in research coordination, would be well regarded.
- Good Clinical Practice Certificate (or willingness to acquire within 1 month of commencement).
- Highly desirable: Clinical experience in peripheral vascular disease, exercise physiology or podiatry areas.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis
