What your day will look like….
You'll provide safe, evidence‑based midwifery care across antenatal, birthing and postnatal settings, building trusting relationships with mothers and their families along the way. Your clinical judgement and communication skills will guide real‑time decision‑making, education and collaboration with the broader maternity team. The role brings variety—hands‑on care, supporting junior staff, contributing to quality improvement and staying engaged with ongoing learning—while giving you the chance to make a meaningful difference in the experience of every mother you support.
As a Registered Midwife, you'll help shape safer, more connected maternity experiences for women and families across our region. Your work will strengthen continuity of care, support confident decision-making, and contribute to better outcomes for mothers, babies and the community we serve. You'll be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, compassion and innovation.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering evidence‑informed maternity care that supports women's choices and leads to safer, positive health outcomes.
- Using sound clinical judgement to respond to changing needs and guide women and families through key moments in their care.
- Working closely with colleagues to strengthen teamwork, ensure safe patient flow and maintain a high‑quality care environment.
- Driving improvements by participating in quality, safety and education initiatives that enhance how we deliver maternity services.
- Supporting a learning culture through mentoring, constructive communication and role‑modelling professional practice.
