About the role
This position provides operational support in the provision of pharmacy services under the supervision of pharmacists, to clients at West Moreton Health including Ipswich Hospital, The Park Centre for Mental Health, Ripley Hospital and Prison and Youth Detention Health Service. These duties ensure that pharmacy services are safe, effective, economical, timely and of a high standard.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Ability to interpret prescriptions to facilitate dispensing processes.
- Knowledge of access and funding schemes, including the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme and Special Access Scheme.
- High level interpersonal skills, organisational skills, and communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to achieve competence in the use of relevant technology utilised in the provision of pharmacy services
- Knowledge of relevant medicines related terminology.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
